Bill Huffman, a Golf Writer for the Arizona Republic writes, ““Desert golf is very exotic…you don’t see trees. Water features are at a minimum. You get these ribbons of emerald green grass laced through sandstone. It makes for a brilliant landscape…Desert courses are fun to play on. For most players, this is not their usual golf course so it becomes special. It is a little intimidating, too, because you don’t see the trees and borders. It is a bigger landscape and the views are completely different. From some tee boxes, you can see up to 100 miles. You just don’t get that in other places”.
